ITF identifies and understands the technology challenges
Through its membership, ITF maintains an overview of technology needs.  It continually gathers and analyses member input to produce calls for proposals that are specific to industry needs.

ITF makes technology development and implementation happen
Technology implementation is ITF’s primary performance indicator. Implementation plans are an integral part of the JIP contract. ITF successfully brokers multiple participant technology development programmes on behalf of its members. All technology proposals are reviewed and recommended on a basis of merit, regardless of the size or origin of proposer.

ITF ensures commercial interests and IP are protected
ITF recognises and acknowledges the different commercial sensitivities and IP needs of its members and the technology development community. ITF will ensure that all participants’ commercial interests are always considered.

ITF ensures technology potential is fully realised and opportunities are not missed
Development is only part of the equation. ITF will work to secure field trails of all successfully developed technologies and ensure that they attain commerciality. ITF will keep track of developed technologies that are awaiting deployment opportunities and ensure these are considered when technology needs are identified.

ITF represents and promotes technology at the top table
ITF works closely with various industry bodies in the UK and internationally. It will be a constant champion of new technologies and ensure that good ideas from even the smallest organisations are heard.

ITF enables technology communication
ITF promotes and openly communicates with all its technology stakeholders to ensure that industry messages about technology are consistent and regularly voice.
