ITF's key objectives are to identify technology needs, foster innovation and facilitate the development and implementation of new technologies. This industry led and demand driven ITF process has been instrumental in the deployment of many new technologies into oil and gas provinces around the world.

ITF's role is to make sure that the technology ideas that will really benefit the industry are given the best possible opportunity to be developed into commercially successful products and services.
