Members Commitments and Expectations
Objectives
ITF exists to facilitate the collaborative research, development and implementation of new technologies within oil and gas and related energy industries. The principal vehicle for this is a proven process which delivers Joint Indsutry Projects (JIPs) that address member needs. Accordingly, it is ITF's aim to have every member contributing to JIPs that add value to their business.
ITF Commits its Members to:
- Actively manage membership to ensure an active, aligned group of companies commited to technology development and deployment in oil and gas and related energy industries
- Engage with multiple contacts within each member company across all company locations to:
- Understand Members' technology needs
- Inform all Members of all JIP proposals (developers will not be able to exclude any Member from seeing a proposal)
- Inform Members of other relevant events and information
- Maintain dialogue with senior management to ensure management support for working with ITF
- Conduct an annual review which addresses "what ITF has done for you"
- Enable each Member to select what projects to support
ITF Expects its Members to:
- Actively support the collaborative spirit and objectives of ITF
- Provide financial (or in-kind) support to those JIPs which are of relevance
- Provide and support field trial opportunities to prove technology
- Implement project outcomes (knowledge and new technology) within their business
- Respect the IP rights of developers
- Nominate a Member Representative who will:
- Ensure that information (particularly workshop invitations and proposals) reaches the right people
- Provide regularly updated contacts for company discipline experts
- Provide information to ITF on timing of budget cycles
- Support ITF dialogue with senior management
- Respect the IP of all member organisations, developers and other parties involved
