ITF issues two new calls for proposals

ITF, the oil and gas industry technology facilitator issued two fresh calls for proposals at the Offshore Europe exhibition in Aberdeen.

The output from two theme days earlier this year, ITF is looking for global technology developers to come forward with solutions to challenges facing In-well Communications and the use of Light Well Intervention Vessels (LWIVs) for Well Abandonment.

In-well Communications
Calling for proposals to address challenges facing in-well communications, ITF is seeking technology solutions in the following areas:

  • Instrumentation
  • Communication between wells
  • Wireless technologies
  • Smart technology

Deadline for submissions is Monday 19th October 2009.

LWIV Well Abandonment
Issuing a second call for proposals, ITF is encouraging any organisation or individual to come forward with technology proposals that can help provide solutions to the following challenges:

  • Solving the cable issue
  • Logging through tubing
  • New materials challenge
  • Tagging and verification of cement plugs with wireline
  • Cementing multiple annuli
  • Wellhead removal

Deadline for submissions is Friday 31st October 2009.
