Rising Star recognised at Industry awards

A Senior Technology Analyst with ITF, the industry technology facilitator, clinched the Rising Star award at the prestigious Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards on Thursday, March 25.

Ryan McPherson scooped the accolade in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the industry, managing a total of 15 technology projects and seven calls for proposals.

Joining ITF in September 2007 as a technology analyst, Ryan's talents were quickly recognised  and he was promoted to senior technology analyst the following year.

His role at ITF means he is required to take ownership of the ITF process, identifying and coordinating key operational aspects of the business.

Ryan has also gained successful recognition across the industry, Oil and Gas UK chose him to join its next generation task group and he sits on two of the industry body's decommissioning workgroups. He has also been approached by SPE to sit on their well abandonment committee.

Ryan said:
