ITF Brief Director General of IoD
ITF's Managing Director Neil Poxon yesterday, Thursday 2 September met with Miles Templemann, Director General of the Institute of Directors to give an insight into the needs of the energy industry.
Mr Templemann was in the North East for the first time and was keen to hear the views of key industry figures in the region. The IoD is often consulted by government officials on policy issues, so Mr Templemann wanted to find out more about the strategic importance of the energy industry and the current challenges and opportunities.
Mr Poxon gave the briefing on behalf of ITF alongside other industry representatives including; Oil and Gas UK and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group. He said: "It was a fantastic opportunity to inform the Director General about the importance of investment in new technologies to support our member organisations, the development community and about the advances that ITF is helping to facilitate, as well as discussing wider indsutry issues."
