Energy KTN to stimulate crossover between oil & gas and renewables sectors
Many major oil & gas companies are engaged in renewable energy, but may not be aware of the latest projects and technologies under development.
In association with All-Energy 2011, the Energy Knowledge Transfer Network (Energy KTN) are hosting a brokerage event to bring together the oil & gas and renewables sectors for short, focused meetings to explore mutual business opportunities.
Over the past 30 years, Aberdeen has played a key role in the emergence and exploitation of the oil and gas industry, and now has a big part to play in the renewable energy revolution now upon us - not least because of the synergies which exist between the sectors. Oil and gas companies, and also the engineering, construction and supply chain, have the experience and expertise that can bring success in realising the huge potential of global renewable energy resources.
RenewableUK will lead a supply chain seminar with high profile speakers from industry and sector organisations. The agenda will include the opportunity for delegates to comment on a new model for mapping supply chain needs in the renewable sector. All delegates for the 1:1 meeting will automatically be registered for the seminar.
ITF will present case studies profiling crossover projects between the oil and gas and renewable sectors.
